Job Description:
Large, well established, multi facility food/bakery manufacturer
is looking for an experienced Plant Engineer/Dir. Engineering. Must
have at least 5 years of experince in a managerial role over team
of Maintenance Techs. Offering nice salary and benefits. Please see
below for add'l. information. -- MUST reside in the Denver area or
willing to relocate themselves to Denver. -The Director of Plant &
Engineering plans and coordinates all maintenance and construction
activities within the facility. - The Director is responsible to
supervise maintenance functions which are necessary to maintain the
physical structures of the plant to ensure everything runs smoothly
and efficiently.The Director of Plant & Engineering is accountable
to the COO for planning and maintaining an effective organization
for administering labor and material controls for training of
maintenance personnel in safety and for effective management
practices. -Essential Functions:Has overall responsibility of
facilities and assets through their lifecycle including design,
construction, implementation, and maintenance.Manage resources
including expense priorities, capital and expense budgeting,
facilities and asset management and spare parts.Develop long term
capital planning and execution plans aligned to the organization's
strategy. Drive culture, engage staff morale and ensure employees'
safety.Direct team members and develop a robust talent development
and succession planning in alignment with functional growth
strategies across the engineering organizationDefine and implement
core competencies, by assessing business needs and developing,
proposing, and implementing solutions.Ensure the facility and
equipment is properly maintained and complies with all OSHA
regulations and Food Safety requirements established by BRC, GFSI,
and AIB StandardsPartner with cross-functional groups/resources to
achieve tactical execution plans of business objectives to ensure
operational excellence, risk identification and reduction in
compliance with quality, safety, and environmental
standardsNegotiate and oversee the development and execution of
plans, budgets and schedules for all facility and equipment
modifications, expansions, shutdowns, infrastructure programs,
capital investments for lifecycle management, capacity, upgrades
and/or new construction in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Anticipate business needs from an infrastructure standpoint and
propose strategies to address.Perform other duties as assigned. - -
-Bachelor's Degree (prefer Engineering Degree) or a combination of
education and experience.Minimum of 5 years' experience in a
managerial role, with oversight of a team of Maintenance
TechniciansMust have electrical control experience and PLC
troubleshooting experience.Proven successful project management
leadership skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including
advanced Excel and manufacturing systemsExcellent documentation and
communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
including negotiating and relationship management skills with
ability to drive achievement of objectivesExpert understanding of
engineering procedures while looking beyond existing methodologies
and own discipline to define and resolve complex
problemsDemonstrated ability to direct teams and provide coaching
and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions
including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects
of employee relationsAbility to interact professionally with all
organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to
appropriate levels of management in the organization
