Job Description Job Description We are looking for a skilled Tax
Preparer to join our team on a long-term contract to hire basis in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role focuses on preparing and
reviewing various tax returns, ensuring compliance, and maintaining
accuracy across individual and business filings. If you thrive in a

Responsibilities: • Prepare and review federal and state individual
tax returns, including complex forms such as 1040 and associated
schedules. • Assist with tax filings for trusts, partnerships,
S-Corporations, and K-1s, ensuring compliance and accuracy. •
Organize and verify documentation required for tax filings,
maintaining meticulous records. • Update and maintain tax files in
alignment with regulatory standards. • Perform basic bookkeeping
tasks using QuickBooks to support tax preparation activities. •
Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines and accuracy in
tax preparation. • Stay informed on tax laws and regulations to
provide reliable, up-to-date services. • Conduct thorough reviews
to identify discrepancies or errors in tax documentation. • Work
independently while contributing to the team’s overall goals and
objectives. • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in tax
preparation, excluding work with large retail chains. • Proficiency
in preparing individual and business tax returns, including
Schedules C, E, F, K-1s, trust, and S-Corp filings. • Familiarity
with Lacerte Tax Software or similar platforms. • Strong
organizational skills and attention to detail in managing tax
documentation. • Experience with QuickBooks or comparable
bookkeeping software. • Ability to work independently and manage
backend tax functions efficiently. • Solid understanding of federal
and state tax regulations. • Effective communication skills to
collaborate with team members as needed.
