They are looking for a person who loves complex tax work and tax compliance review and tax planning and has an entrepreneurial spirit to work with Emerging Market clients, Private Equity and Venture Backed firms, Startups and ultra-high net worth Clients. You will join a high performing team that works on a variety of clients. Seeking a person who enjoys collaborating with clients and with tax staff! Review complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities, including C-corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships Review complex U.S. and state individual income, gift tax, trust, and estate tax returns Review and manage deliverables including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types Conduct complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries and prepare technical tax memorandum outlining findings and conclusions Manage several client relationships and be able to explain complex terms and facts clearly Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax plans and projections for individuals, partnerships, and corporations Research the implications of tax laws and advise clients on tax related issues Provide guidance and training to associates and peers Delegate projects to staff that can handle them most efficiently and provide accounting and tax assistance to staff as needed Prepare engagement letters for services to be provided Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices Serve as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating expertise in tax matters and guiding them towards tailored tax strategies Actively participating in business development opportunities and expanding a personal network of professional contacts PROFESSIONAL & CULTURAL ATTRIBUTES: We're looking for someone who: Brings a positive, can-do attitude and contributes meaningfully to our collaborative team culture Maintains a high level of professionalism in appearance and communication when interacting with clients, colleagues, and external partners Demonstrates strong responsiveness, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional service Accepts feedback with humility and takes ownership of their responsibilities and results Delivers work on time, follows through on commitments, and is dependable under pressure Communicates and collaborates effectively across teams and departments Reflects our firm's core values and supports the broader goals of the entire team QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in public accounting with emphasis in taxation CPA certification Minimum of 3 years reviewing all types of tax returns and supervising staff Advanced written and verbal communication skills Strong project and client management skills Ability to give and receive constructive criticism Strong technical skills in accounting and tax COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: 401(k) with match – 100% match, up to 3%, then 50% of the next 2%, totaling a maximum of 4% for one year tenure employees Health Insurance - employees are 100% covered Elective dental, vision, accident, critical illness, and short-term disability insurances Wellness Savings Account - employer contribution Health Savings Account for employees choosing the High Deductible Health Plan – employee and employer contributions Life/AD&D and Long-Term Disability Unlimited Paid Time Off 10 annual holidays Every other Friday off in the summer (about 7 days per summer) Paid parking & RTD Eco Pass CPA materials and exam as well as CPE costs covered Hybrid flexibility with 3 days in office $100,000-125,000bonus Highly collaborative team with great culture.
