Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a K-12 school in Aurora, CO, supporting students on a leave contract. This role begins immediately and extends through March 2, 2026, with a possibility of extension determined at the end of February. Qualifications: - Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Professional Teacher License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement (5-21) is required. - Applicants must hold the correct license prior to applying; travelers, substitute, temporary, interim, or provisional licenses will not be considered unless accompanied by proof of application for the appropriate SPED endorsement. - Experience with instructional practices, special designed instruction, and supporting students working on alternative standards. - Strong understanding of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with IEP team members. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in grades K-12. - Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs in compliance with state regulations. - Work collaboratively with educators, specialists, and families to support student success. - Utilize effective teaching strategies tailored to individual student goals and alternative standards. Location: Aurora, Colorado (Specific site to be determined) Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Contract Type: Leave Replacement Candidates should be prepared to discuss their teaching experience, knowledge of special education strategies, and collaborative skills during the interview process.
