Pase Environmental is looking to hire an exceptional and experienced Diesel Mechanic for our Stormwater & Erosion Control Fleet Department. Compensation: We can offer an hourly rate of$30.00 - $40.00/hrdepending on experienceplus overtime. This position is year-round and has its own covered Mechanic Bay area in our Parker, CO location. The Company works with builders in the residential, commercial and municipal segments to ensure that their sites and waterways are compliant with stormwater codes, which ensures that local communities are protected from pollutants and debris from development and construction sites. Pase is one of the largest and fastest growing erosion control service providers in the Front Range and is looking to build its team as we continue to grow throughout Colorado and other states. Essential Duties: Responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles such as trucks, trailers, skid steers, implements and other small construction equipment. Work to be performed at both of our yards. Warranting that all equipment always operates efficiently and safely Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating equipment, changing tires, inspect and repairing brakes, steering mechanism, fixing electrical wiring, replacing belts, repairing u-joints, adjusting clutches, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition Use of Hydraulic jacks and hoists to raise trucks, trailers, other motor vehicles and heavy equipment Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly Work with a high degree of independence and manage own daily schedule Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems Maintain an inventory of all parts and equipment needed maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed Manage in-house inventory and perform periodic reconciliation Communicate with management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers and/or discuss RO findings notes As necessary, drive to jobsites and repair company equipment Welding and metal fabricating - hard face weld on some wear parts. Weld and repair pans and other equipment as needed Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT The ability to work alone or as a team Must supply own tools - we are willing to pay for relocation transportation of all tools Qualifications: Valid Driver's License; Class A CDL a plus Minimum 1-5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance/repair Must have a clean MVR record and pass a drug screen Ability to work 50+ hours per week Able to tolerate various weather conditions Must be able to list 50 lbs.
