effectiveness. We are hiring immediately for a Payload Engineer to
join us in our Westminster, CO location, in our payload systems
engineering group.Day In The Life: As a Payload Engineer, you will
be involved in the development cycle of earth imaging space
programs. Starting from customer needs and our industry-leading
heritage, you will work with payload suppliers to make that vision
a reality. Along the way you will interface with in-house imagery,
ground systems, and operation experts as well as external suppliers
and customers. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact,

how we see our world. Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen and able and willing to obtain a U.S.
Government security clearance at a TS/SCI level
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or related field of
study
- 5 years of experience in space systems engineering or satellite
operations
- Familiarity with earth observation payload conops and entire
wideband downlink chain.
- General understanding of all other spacecraft subsystems and
interfaces between them
- Experience in using tool such as MATLAB, pythonPreferred
Qualifications:
- Direct experience on at least one earth observation space
program
- Experience in payload system design, in either optical design,
focal plane, or electronics.
- Experience with image analysis techniques and algorithms.
- Familiarity with satellite software architectures, including
commanding and telemetry gathering

ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate's
starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and
is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not
limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills,
geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with
the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and
skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper
end of the pay range. The base pay for this position within
Colorado is: $87,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually. For all other
states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop
market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location
where we hire may have a different range. We offer a comprehensive
