Job Description:

for a team driver who has exceptional financial operational skills
and can bring a strong leadership presence to a veterinary referral
hospital team. The Hospital Director performs a wide range of
complex administrative activities related to hospital management in
providing quality patient care and excellent client service,
management of finances and accounting, marketing, and service
promotion, staffing and human resources, and other discretionary
activities. Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) is one of
the busiest veterinary hospitals in Colorado and specializes in
24/7 veterinary emergency care. In addition, we employ some of the
best veterinary specialists and support staff in the area with the
intention of providing the highest level of care available to pets.
Our emergency veterinarians and veterinary specialists have years
of advanced training in their fields of expertise. AESC
collaborates with the client, the referring veterinarian, and the
appropriate specialists to efficiently diagnose and treat our
patients. We offer board certified specialists in multiple services
to diagnose and treat our patients: emergency and critical care,
internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, surgery, dermatology &
allergy, oncology, radiology & ultrasound, and rehabilitation

advancement within our family of employees. ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONS: Create a compelling vision for all staff and effectively
communicate that vision throughout the organization and to
internal/external stakeholders including customers, peers,
associates, and employees at all levels of the organization Manage
hospital operations and financial health of a $20mm+ P hospital
Work closely with Medical Director to establish the best medical
care Facilitate plans and programs to track clinic performance of
company's goals Drive hospital culture, cementing AESC as the
Employer of Choice in the region Support HR initiatives and
programs - such as recruitment, onboarding, team-building, and
recognition - which reinforce the hospital's culture and values
Support recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of staff and doctors
Direct and develop the veterinary and technical staff towards the
goals needed for state-of-the-art quality patient care and
excellence Promote effective communication within the hospital and
with the referring DVM community Responsible for policy enforcement
as well as overseeing disciplinary actions and terminations
Organize and conduct staff meetings. Meet regularly with managers
to discuss, evaluate, and plan for the welfare of the practice
Responsible for administration and review of non-medical client
complaints Oversee billing, calculations of any discounts, and
other special accounts Monitor purchasing and inventory, so the
practice operates within budget. Monitor the staff scheduling so
that the practice operates within budget. Monitor and approve all
expenditures within Compassion-First guidelines Ensure OSHA and
Safety program and procedures are being monitored and updated so
that the hospital is in safety compliance Meet regularly with
veterinarians to review financial performance Review accounts
receivable to confirm proper and timely processing REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lead, motivate, influence, empower and mentor employees
at all levels Experience in a medical care facility in operations
management, overseeing profit & loss Ability to convey business
needs in a clear, concise, and effective manner Knowledge of
financial budget management Make decisions that impact people,
employees, quality of service, and costs Experience with mentoring
diverse groups Evaluate developing medical information and
anticipate change for clinic productivity Demonstrate flexibility,
adaptability, and a fluid management style Manage multiple
priorities and deal with high levels of stress in an ever-changing
environment EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a Business or related
discipline with 5+ years of business operations required (DVM or
VMD encouraged to apply.) Veterinary or human healthcare hospital
management is beneficial, but not required. CVPM highly desired
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are

is also available. Compensation: $100 - $125k+, the range will
