    • You will provide technical quality testing for neonates, pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the laboratory setting in compliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB, FDA, and CLIA standards
    • Your thorough understanding and application of the MT practice is essential due to the intense field of critical patient testing. Therefore, you must continuously strive to improve clinical testing through formal and informal education
    • You will maintain knowledge of all procedures and protocols
    • You will perform required quality control and function verification of equipment Qualifications you will need for this role:
      • ASCP, NCA, AMT or HEW required. Eligible for registry; continued employment will be based on licensure.
      • A college graduate or equivalent who has passed a certification examination for Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP, NCA, AMT OR HEW Certification. NCA and ASCP Certification requires a B.A. or B.S. in Medical Technology or related field (Chemistry, Biology, etc.), and one-year internship or appropriate experience prior to examination. HEW Certification requires a combination of education and experience (military or otherwise) prior to examination. Associate degree and successful completion of an accredited MLT program, with ASCP Board Certification
      • Prefer 1- 2 yrs. of clinical laboratory experience
      • Prefer a working knowledge of antigen/antibody reactions, use of blood components, compatibility testing, and regulations Swedish Medical Center, part of HCA's HealthONE, is located in the south metro Denver area where it has been a proud member of the community for more than 110 years. Over 150 facilities regularly transfer highly complex cases to Swedish.
