Unlock your potential at The Medical Center of Aurora!Job Summary and QualificationsThis position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora by optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Wound/Ostomy RN provides acute and rehabilitative patient care to wound and ostomy inpatients and outpatients; is responsible for direct patient care, education, planning, directing and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Colorado Nurse Practice Act, Physician Orders, recognized nursing techniques and policies, procedures, established clinical competencies; demonstrates critical thinking and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient; is responsible for meeting the clinical competencies set forth by TMCA. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.     What qualifications you will need:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support - through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • Registered Nurse, - current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license
    • Bachelors Degree, graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN; entry into WOC Nurse Education program or Board Certification by WOCN Society, preferred within 6 months of employment
    • Minimum of two years acute care; WOC Nurse experience preferredLocated in Aurora, Colorado, offers over 346 beds. It has five medical campuses, including the Main South Campus, the North Campus Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, Centennial Medical Plaza, Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, and Spalding Rehabilitation at P/SL. The Main Campus is a Level II Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center accreditation, serving the eastern metro area and I-70 corridor. The South Campus has a Level III NICU. The hospital consistently receives 'A' grades from The Leapfrog Group and is recognized as one of the top five hospitals in the Denver metro area and the fourth-best hospital in Colorado by U.S. News & World Report.
