CHARGE NURSE (RN): Full-Time (6pm - 6am)Valley Hope of Parker, located just outside of Denver, has been serving the people of Colorado with residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment services since 1989.Valley Hope nurses specialize in making patients feel loved from the moment they walk in the door by providing compassionate medical care, key to the short and long-term success of patients in recovery. Nurses typically work with patients from admission to discharge, providing supportive medical care over 30-45 days of treatment, offering a unique treatment approach, and rewarding work experience with hands on help for patients to heal and recover in real time.The work is fulfilling, mission focused, yet more relaxed than the standard hospital setting.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Associates degree in nursingLicensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the state of employment.Four (4) plus years of clinical nursing care work experience.Four (4) plus years of progressive work and relevant industry experience including one (1) plus years of charge-nurse experience.Work experience in substance abuse treatment industry is preferred.Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationsCOMPENSTATION AND BENEFITS:Valley Hope offers competitive wages, generous shift differentials, meaningful work and a highly competitive benefits package that includes:Compensation:Starting pay ranges from $45 - $49/hr based on experience and educationShift Differentials:Night: Base pay + $5.00 per hourWeekend Night: Base pay + $5.50 per hourWeekend Day: Base pay + $1.00 per hourBenefits:Affordable health, dental, and vision insuranceTuition AssistanceStudent Loan RepaymentPublic Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible Employer8 Paid Holidays (Including 1 Personal Holiday)PTO Up to 27 Days per year based on years of servicePaid Parental Leave401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matchHealth Saving and Flexible Spending AccountsEmployee Assistance ProgramAnd much more!JOB SUMMARY:Provides support as needed to the Nursing Director in day-to-day supervision of the nursing staff to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with Valley Hopes operating policies, procedures, and standards.Assists with the supervision of nursing staff to help ensure appropriate nursing staff continues to be maintained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with particular focus on the evening shift.Assists the Nursing Director in supervising nursing staff including orientation and training, monitoring the quality of treatment documents, providing support during the annual review/goal setting process, as well as providing routine performance feedback and mentoring in support of staff development.Provides support to the Nursing Director as needed for medical care including case management and inpatient medical care treatment services.Provides assistance as needed to ensure proper and adequate treatment provided during emergencies; follows established policies and procedures for all medical emergencies (i.e., convulsions, suicides, Delirium Tremens, etc.)Participates in facility performance improvement activities with an emphasis on medical services and improving nursing care quality.
