Description Speech Language Pathologist I, Outpatient, MBSS Location: UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion (Aurora CO) and Central Park Clinic (Denver CO) Department: Speech OP AOP FTE: Full Time, 0.8, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $36.19 - $54.28 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs. Travel among local locations required. This position will cover two UCHealth locations: Central Park (Denver CO) and Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion (Aurora CO). Responsibilities: Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires. Provides education to the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Performs all underlying duties of the job including but not limited to supervising support personnel according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders. Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. Minimum Experience: None required. Experience in Outpatient therapy and MBSS preferred. We improve lives. In big ways through learning, healing, and discovery.
