Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Denver, Colorado. Job
Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown -
Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours
per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN
Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for
ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside
experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5
weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the
initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN
- PCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00
PM • Cardiac surgery progressive care unit (PCU) on 10th floor •
Patient ratio of 1:4 • Must have ACLS certification and PCU/cardiac
experience • Required to work with cardiac drips including heparin,
tikosyn, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, Lasix, and ketamine
• Work with specialized equipment including telemetry monitors,
transport monitors, suction devices, feeding pumps, tracheostomies,
BiPAP/CPAP, heated high flow oxygen, chest tubes, Foley catheters,
pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, and sequential compression devices •
Use Meditech EMR system • Perform typical procedures including
chest tube placement and removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead
EKGs • Work in fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac unit environment •
Must demonstrate excellent teamwork skills and high energy • Work
alongside charge RN, nursing staff, and patient care technicians
