(CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating
Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An exciting opportunity is
available for an experienced Operating Room Nurse specializing in
orthopedic and trauma cases at a busy, well-equipped medical center
in the Arvada, CO area. This contract role is perfect for those
with a strong background in perioperative nursing who thrive in a
dynamic environment focused on comprehensive surgical care.
Location: This position is based near Englewood, CO, providing easy
access to the Denver metropolitan areas amenities, cultural events,
and outdoor recreational activities. The facility is equipped with
14 operating rooms and staffed by a dedicated team committed to
delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities: Collaborate
with surgeons, surgical technologists, and other OR staff to
provide safe, efficient patient care during orthopedic and trauma
surgeries Maintain strict adherence to infection control and
operating room protocols Ensure accurate documentation within the
Meditech electronic medical records system Participate in
monitoring patient status and responding promptly to changes
Provide leadership and support during day and evening shifts as
needed, including call coverage Implement unit guidelines and
uphold high standards of patient safety and quality Qualifications:
Valid nursing license with current certifications including NBSTA
and DORA Demonstrated orthopedic and joint surgery experience
required Flexibility to work day/evening shifts with on-call
availability Preferred: Level I trauma experience and familiarity
with procedures excluding cardiovascular, neurology, and transplant
surgeries Strong teamwork skills, self-direction, and
accountability Schedule: Primarily day shift (7 AM 5 PM) with some
flexibility for evenings and call responsibility Benefits: Contract
