Job Description:
Sonora Quest Laboratories, a leader in diagnostic testing
services formed by the collaboration of Banner Health and Quest
Diagnostics, is seeking a seasoned Manager for our Hospital Labs to
oversee daily operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional
quality services. The successful candidate will be instrumental in
steering our laboratory operations across various Arizona hospital
locations, optimizing processes, and enhancing patient care through
innovative medical insights. With a focus on outstanding lab
performance and robust quality control, the Manager, Hospital Labs
will play a crucial role in maintaining our renowned standards of
excellence. Oversee the operational management of multiple hospital
laboratories, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety
standards. Manage a diverse team of lab technicians, and other
laboratory staff, fostering a collaborative environment and
promoting professional development. Develop and implement
laboratory operational policies and procedures, ensuring they align
with hospital standards and best practices. Monitor and optimize
the efficiency of laboratory procedures to improve turnaround times
and accuracy of results. Collaborate with healthcare providers to
integrate lab services effectively and ensure a high level of
patient care. Manage budgeting, procurement of lab equipment and
supplies, and perform regular audits to ensure financial and
operational integrity. Drive continuous improvement initiatives,
adopting new technologies and methodologies to enhance service
quality and efficiency. Strong leadership and team management
skills Expertise in laboratory operations and management Proficient
in regulatory compliance and quality control Excellent
organizational and problem-solving skills Strong communication and
interpersonal skills Proficient with medical lab information
systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent Lean
Six Sigma certification preferred
