Job Description:
Intermountain Healthcare invites applications for the role of
Forensics Nurse in our Emergency Department. The selected candidate
will be pivotal in providing specialized care for patients who are
victims of trauma, abuse, violence, or accidental injuries. This
role requires a compassionate approach combined with forensic
skills to not only treat physical ailments but also collect
evidence and provide testimony that can be used in the legal
process. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will work
in an environment that is committed to innovative medical services
and the highest standards of patient care. Provide immediate
medical care to trauma patients. Perform forensic examinations and
collect evidence for law enforcement agencies. Document all patient
care and forensic findings meticulously in patient records. Testify
in court cases when required, representing the medical findings
accurately. Collaborate with law enforcement and legal teams to
support patient care and justice. Offer support and resources to
patients and families dealing with trauma. Strong clinical skills
in emergency nursing. Ability to perform forensic examinations.
Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail. Strong
communication skills, both verbal and written. Compassionate
patient care with an ability to work under pressure. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Utah.
Certification in Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) preferred.
CPR and ACLS certification required.
