Position Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Colorado
Springs, CO. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Occupational Therapist to help patients in home health settings
regain or improve daily skills while exploring a new location.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in
Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program. Active
Colorado Occupational Therapist license required to start the
assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Home
health experience required. Preferred: prior experience with OASIS
documentation and home health productivity expectations.
Demonstrated ability to assess home environments for safety and
implement discharge planning. Experience coordinating care across
disciplines and performing case management in home health settings.
Ability to perform comprehensive medication reviews and provide
patient/caregiver education regarding medication administration and
safety. Willingness to supervise occupational therapy assistants
and home health aides as needed. Valid driver’s license and ability
to travel within assigned counties: El Paso, Teller, Douglas.
Preferred: experience requisitioning and managing durable medical
equipment and supplies for home use. Assignment Details Facility
type: Home Health. Shift name: Days. Shift requirement: Monday
through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Productivity expectation: 30
points per week. Counties covered: El Paso, Teller, Douglas. Travel
between patient homes within these counties required.
Responsibilities include OASIS documentation, patient assessments,
care coordination, equipment management, and patient/caregiver
education. Location Highlights Colorado Springs offers outdoor
recreation and cultural attractions within easy reach. Garden of
the Gods is a major landmark about 10 minutes from downtown, with
hiking and rock climbing routes and scenic drive access. Pikes Peak
is approximately 20 miles west, providing a highway summit, the
Pikes Peak Cog Railway, and year-round outdoor activities suitable
for an adventurous lifestyle. The historic Broadmoor and the
Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center are located within the city,
offering dining, galleries, and performing arts within a 10–15
minute drive of central neighborhoods for an urban-suburban mix.
For water and nature access, Palmer Lake and Fountain Creek trail
systems are within a 20–30 minute commute, offering walking and
cycling options. Public transit options include Mountain
Metropolitan Transit buses connecting major districts and routes to
