Job Description Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Field Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This Contract to permanent position requires a skilled individual who can provide hands-on support for desktop systems, printers, and mobile devices while ensuring optimal functionality across hardware and software platforms. The role involves a mix of in-office and travel responsibilities, supporting technical operations both locally and at remote worksites. Responsibilities: • Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity efficiently and accurately. • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, printers, and mobile devices, ensuring compliance with company standards. • Prepare and deploy devices for new employees, including imaging and setup of workstations. • Perform updates, patches, and routine maintenance for operating systems and core applications. • Provide basic network troubleshooting and collaborate with engineers on connectivity and performance issues. • Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and inventory records. • Offer attentive and approachable technical support to users with varying levels of expertise. • Assist with backups, security configurations, and preventive maintenance tasks. • Travel as needed to remote worksites to provide technical support and set up equipment. • Support technology improvements and collaborate on system upgrades with IT leadership.• Proficiency in managing desktop hardware, including Dell workstations and label or network printers. • Experience with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019 environments. • Ability to handle mobile device management, including setup and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with Active Directory and workstation imaging processes. • Basic understanding of IP protocols and network troubleshooting. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Capacity to travel for work, including extended trips as required. • Excellent communication skills for providing user support and creating documentation.
