Receives and responds to consumer calls for health care
assistance using the nursing process in accordance with applicable
scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and
mission of the organization.
Work Schedule: Part Time (20 hours a week, 40 hours per pay
Elicits questions, concerns, and information from caller to
assess symptoms, determine acuity, identify appropriate
algorithm/protocol, and develop patient care plan.
Provides professional advice, education, and options based on
assessment, established algorithm/protocol, and clinical judgment.
When appropriate, contacts appropriate emergency response
Provides referrals to healthcare providers and community
resources when appropriate, including locations, hours, and contact
information. Assists caller with scheduling appointments at
referral sources when appropriate.
Documents calls, responses, and referrals. Performs follow up
calls to evaluate effectiveness of care and need for additional

able to work in afast-paced environment and take appropriate
Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited
Registered/Professional Nursing program.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red
Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before
start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of
hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either
the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for
the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional
Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be
through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
Minimum Experience: 2 years of nursing experience.
