Job Description:
Great Opportunity for an On-Call Ultrasound Technologist at our
Health Images at South Denver Location. We are targeting Ultrasound
availability to include overnights and weekend call to support
free-standing ED center.Candidates only need one US registry to
cover these shifts. New Grads are welcomed.Summary/Objective: Leads
a multi-modality team of Technologists in the performance of
patient scans to obtain images at a satisfactory level with minimal
supervision. Performs ultrasound procedures to adult and pediatric
patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic
and physiologic disorders. Assists Radiologist during specialized
exams to obtain images at a satisfactory level with minimal
supervision.Essential FunctionsInterfaces with patient to ascertain
medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the
procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.Reviews
patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent.
Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast
allergies, etc.Performs ultrasound scans and prints images while
attending to patient's care before, during and following exam and
notifies the appropriate party if patient's condition changes at
any time.Assists Radiologist on specialized exams.Transfers images
to other locations as needed.Coordinates scan protocols with
Radiologist.Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and
immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment
failures or deficiencies.Interfaces with Lead Technologist &
Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental

ResponsibilitiesThis position has no direct supervisory
responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for all
Technologists at the Center.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an
environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment.
Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of
Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids,
communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and
other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often
requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.Physical DemandsThe
physical demands described here are representative of those that
must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential
functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the
employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up
to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force
constantly to move objects.The employee is regularly required to
use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or
controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently
required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision and the ability to adjust

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications/Experience:Two plus years'
experience in Ultrasound- preferredPrevious Team Lead experience in
a healthcare environment - preferredAbility to educate patients on
procedures being performedDetail oriented, self-motivated, a
problem solver and a team playerAbility to navigate multiple
computer screens and browsers quickly and accuratelyAbility to
excel in a very fast-pace team environmentAbility to continuously
"exceed" company and customer expectationStrong communication
skills & professional demeanorEducation/Certifications:Graduate of
an accredited Sonography programCurrent ARDMS Registered Vascular
Technologist (RVT) or ARRT (VS) registry - preferredCurrent license
from state medical board (if applicable)Current CPR/BLS
certificationAdditional Eligibility QualificationsNone required for
this position.ComplianceAdheres to Envision's Code of Conduct and

forth by the Company.Position Pay Range $35.50 - $50.10Company
