sense of purposeSummary of Position/ObjectiveTransportation Direct
Support Professionals (DSPs) duties consist of safely transporting
Day Program attendees to and from their home to Day Program. The
Transportation DSP will transport Day Program attendees in company
vans and buses in accordance with the route prepared by the
Transportation Supervisor. The Transportation DSP is responsible
for understanding the support needs of each of the clients in their
care. This includes but is not limited to understanding the
supervision needs of each client, understanding the behavioral
needs of specific clients and understanding the needs of each
client with regard to ambulatory support required. Transportation
DSP is responsible for reporting Incidents that occur while clients
are in their care. Transportation DSP will assist Day Program
clients upon arrival to Day Program and in preparation for
departure from Day Program. Transportation DSP may be scheduled to
assist with late afternoon client activities at Day Program in
order to provide Day Program DSP time to complete their
paperwork.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable

ProgramAssists clients with walkers, wheelchairs, backpacks,
lunches, and other items that need safeguarding while
travelingEnsures clients safety and wellbeingEnsures the safe
loading and unloading of all consumers entrusted to your
careEnsures health, safety and supervision needs are
observedMaintains records and prepares reports on services
providedProvides back-up in other areas as neededAlways exhibits
appropriate role modeling through language, dress and
hygieneConversations should be appropriate for a business
environmentCommunicates with appropriate managers on incidents
requiring further attention & follow up; for example, an incident
requiring documentation and communication to a parent, guardian,
Host Home Provider or case managerComplies with proper safety

check, drug test and CAPS check (Colorado Adult Protective
Services).Certificates/Licenses/RegistrationThe employee must
provide and maintain a valid driver's license the entire duration
of their employment, and must be eligible for the agencys vehicle
insurance.Work HoursHours are varied depending on the needs of the
organization. This may include, but is not limited to days, nights,
weekends, and holidays. This position may require hours that exceed
a typical 8-hour work day.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is
consistent with similar office environment settings.Physical
