Zayo is seeking a Physical Security Analyst to oversee the physical security operations of the organization. The role involves implementing and maintaining various security measures, such as access control systems, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.

Our Physical Security Analyst conducts security assessments, responds to incidents and emergencies, develops security policies and procedures, and conducts training sessions for employees. Additionally, the Physical Security Analyst role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services, investigating security incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain physical security measures, including access control systems, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to security.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard personnel and assets.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on security awareness and emergency response procedures.
  • Coordinate with external law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Perform investigations into security incidents, thefts, or other breaches.
  • Maintain accurate records of security incidents, activities, and equipment.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in physical security.
  • Provide recommendations for security improvements based on the latest advancements.
  • Conduct drills and exercises to test and improve the effectiveness of security protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to procure and maintain security equipment.
  • Participate in the development and updating of emergency response plans.
  • Continuously assess and enhance the security posture of the organization.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from employees regarding security matters.
  • Act as a point of contact for security-related issues and concerns.
  • Maintain a visible and proactive presence to deter and detect security threats.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to address after-hours security incidents.
  • Assist in the development and execution of security awareness programs.
  • Provide input into the budgeting process for physical security-related expenses. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in physical security operations.
    • Knowledge of access control systems, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Familiarity with industry best practices and standards in physical security.
    • Understanding of security risk assessment methodologies.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
